I found Miss McGunness to be professional and understanding when seeing her with my thread veins. I was very conscious about them and they stopped me from doing things that I love as did not want to expose my legs.She listens to what you are actually saying and has great empathy. She is enthusiastic about her job, wanting to the very best for you. Excellent!!

In addition to being a very competent surgeon Miss McGuinness communicates well and seems to have the magical quality of intuition, which seems to be disappearing in favour of computers, and the reassurance this gives to patients.

I consulted Cathy McGuinness a few months ago about the thread veins in both my legs which were very unsightly. She assured me that she could help reduce their appearance and possibly get rid of them completely. She explained the procedure to me in some detail and was happy to provide additional information and, more importantly, reassurance about how painful the procedure would be. I had previously had thread veins in my face treated and didn't finish the course because of the pain involved, hence my concerns. Initially, as with anything new, I found the procedure (which involved lots of small injections in the affected area) to be uncomfortable with occasional painful bits. On each occasion, Cathy apologised. She was happy for me to gabble at her whilst she was carrying out the procedure as I found this helped to distract me. My 2 subsequent procedures for the same thing, as only a small area can be treated at any time, were significantly less painful although I did still gabble at her! The results have been extraordinary. The marks have either completely disappeared or are much less visible. Cathy advised me how long it would take for the treatment marks and the marks themselves to disappear and her time estimate was spot on. I would recommend anyone thinking of having this treatment to go to Ms McGuinness for it.
